Despite what the techno-preachers predicted, replacing human workers with robots proved to be more of a cost than a benefit.
Fembots were still very perfectible products that needed constant care from highly-trained specialists to stay in working order.
But the spectacle of exotic dancers suddenly assuming stiff postures and blank stares did gave the clubs using them an identity, and attracted a few fetishists...
