In Fembot terminology, "Built" fembots are those which are constructed, as opposed to those who are transformed into fembots via nanites, or equipped with mechanical parts, like cyborgs.
Built fembots hold more appeal to most ASFR fans because they are true fembots rather than people forcibly or voluntarily transformed, or people who equip themselves with cybernetic components, otherwise known as cyborgs.
In fiction
There are countless "Built" fembots in the realm of fiction, however some notable examples are:
- April & Buffybot from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- Andrea from the Star Trek episode What Are Little Girls Made Of?
- The fembots from The Bionic Woman
