Shellfire, also known as "Heroic Mission" and "Ares Fire", is a class-based hero shooter developed by Dunia Games, an Indonesia-based gaming company.
Discovered in 2017 by YouTuber and Twitch streamer Alpharad, viewers noticed immediate similarities to the famous Blizzard-Activision game Overwatch, most notable in its map selection. In addition, the site had not properly been translated to English, resulting in extremely strange syntax and phrasing that made certain pieces of lore borderline impossible to understand.
In spite of, and because of, these flaws, the game quickly rose in cult popularity among YouTube and Twitch viewers. Many enjoyed the blatant ripoffs of Overwatch characters, the most obvious of which (at the time) included:

* Don Quixote (Reinhardt)
* Destroy the King: Doctor Forrest Gump (Junkrat)

Shellfire, also known as "Heroic Mission" and "Ares Fire", is a class-based hero shooter developed by Dunia Games, an Indonesia-based gaming company.

Discovered in 2017 by YouTuber and Twitch streamer Alpharad, viewers noticed immediate similarities to the famous Blizzard-Activision game Overwatch, most notable in its map selection. Characters from other Western Media were lifted as well, most egregiously a character named "Downey" clad in power armor.

  • Soldier: 9527 (Soldier 76)
  • Ranger: Jenny (McCree)
  • Technology Madman: Downey (Pharah)
  • Don Quixote (Reinhardt)
  • Destroy the King: Doctor Forrest Gump (Junkrat)
  • Pope Innocent (Zenyatta)
  • Sophia (Mercy)

However, the massive influx of Overwatch clones caught the attention of Blizzard Entertainment, leading to multiple class-action lawsuits that saw several similar games banned from the Google Play app store.
