"Come in, your highness," you grin, letting Janelle into your small apartment.
"So, this is where I live," you say, throwing your jacket on a chair. "Make yourself at home." You have lots of board games and video games piled around. You're a little embarrassed by the mess, but she seems to think it's cute.
"So, what do you want to do first?" you ask, feeling a little nervous.
"Hmmm," she says, looking around your apartment. "I think I want to play a video game."
"Do you like dating sims?" you grin, picking up a cartridge, incredibly amused at teaching an artificial woman to woo artificial women.
"It's like a follow-your-own-plot story. You have to try to date this really bratty valley girl named Kesha. She's really difficult and annoying, but her good ending is really hot." You show Janelle an image from the game on its packaging. It shows a sexy, but snooty-looking girl with big sunglasses. "...That's Kesha."
"Oh, I definitely want to try that," Janelle says, taking the game from you.
"Okay, but you have to be careful," you say. "She's really difficult."
"I'm sure I can handle her," Janelle says with a wink.
You set up the game and hand her the controller. She starts playing, and quickly gets the hang of it. She breezes through the game, effortlessly winning the affections of the bratty Kesha—until the last stage, when Kesha theatrically breaks up with her and gives her the finger. "Like, you're totally gross," Kesha laughs at Janelle from the screen.
"What the hell?" Janelle says, stunned. "How did I lose?"
"I told you she was difficult," you say with a shrug.
"No, I can't lose," Janelle says, putting the controller down and getting up. "I won't accept it."
"It's just a game," you say.
"No, it's not just a game," she says, walking over to the TV. "This is my life now. I'm a robot programmed to be the perfect date. I can't fail—I can't let some stupid valley girl dump me."
