In fembot terminology, assembly refers to when a fembot is first assembled or re-assembled after either after being damaged or disassembled. This is often used to establish the origin of a fembot character and show how they work, as well as display the skills of their creator or the one repairing them.
In fiction
In the anime Boku no Marie, a brief scene in the form of a flashback details the initial stages of construction for a character's "sister".
In the Megaman Cartoon Series, the character Roll is seen being reassembled following dismantlement.
In the Short Film Replacement, a man is shown assembling parts of a robot woman's head.
