Whirring sounds are a type of sound effect produced by the mechanical joints of a fembot as it moves. Often times, this is used as a simple means of either revealing or highlighting a character's artificiality, and is frequently paired with scenes where a fembot reveals their inner workings, such as in a Disassembly or Damage scene, or when a fembot malfunctions. This is also often paired with stiff robotic movements to further convey the artificiality of these movements.
