An Android Servicing Unit is a machine, sometimes portable and sometimes built into larger structures, which an android may use for maintenance, diagnostics, recharging, backing up and/or other purposes. Other terms are also used to describe such devices.
In many stories, such as the Dyson Institute stories, androids use semi-regular servicing cycles which approximate the organic-human sleep cycle.
