FYOP/Scenario Chamber/The Witch and the Warrior/0103
Taking up Skena’s extra sword, you swing at the stunned nymph-bot before she has a chance to recover. The blade bites into her midsection, producing a rush of white fluid and an electrical discharge. She stares at the wound and mutters, “In-invalid scenario p-paramaterrrr…” before falling to the floor in a puff of white dust.
You whirl about to face the others, who at first seem more interested in Skena than you – but when you decapitate the one in the lead, leaving her hands clutching at the sparking volcanic ruin of her neck, the remaining three fan out around you.
Carefully watching the positioning of each, you keep them at bay with guarded strikes from your sword. When you have them right where you want them, you focus all of your attention on one with pointed sylvan ears, leaving yourself exposed to the other two. As they lunge, you leap back and grab their heads, smashing them together with the aid of their own momentum. Their stunned faces fuse in a burst of synthetic material and electricity, limbs twitching as the twin bots collapse together.
The sylvan-eared bot turns and makes a final dash for Skena. You hurl the sword, and while it does not impale her in the back her as you had hoped, the blade trips her legs and the falls to the stairs with a loud crash, her head smashing open with a spray of blue lightning upon the stone steps.
“Errorrrr,” the critically damaged nymph-bot drones as you look up to see Skena and the witch locked in battle, Skena pressing her advantage as the witch seems primarily concerned with avoiding her opponent’s deadly swings, but a telling smile is creeping across her features.
