“Skena, go to the main entrance,” you command.
She looks at you incredulously, stating, “It’s the witch’s curse that holds you, can you not see it?”
“Leave, Skena.”
The warrior bot sighs and takes the steps from the throne with numerous ticks and tremors marring her reluctant pace. The witch-bot wraps her arms over your shoulder, watching Skena leave with obvious satisfaction. When Skena last turns to see the witch draped over you, she looks ready to come charging back. But after a pause, Skena finally turns and exists the chamber.
“You’ve made the right choice,” whispers the witch, champing on your earlobe. You recoil from the sudden shock of pain, stepping away and watching her suspiciously as she gives you an innocent smile. “Oh, don’t be like that… come here, allow me to express my gratitude.”
