“Sarastra!” You declare, drawing your sword. “You monster, you tyrant! Release Pamina at once!”
The priestess regards you coolly with her dark eyes, singing, “You have been beguiled and misled, The Queen of the Night cannot be trusted.”
A strange longing crosses Pamina’s face as she presses against the guards to reach you – “My mother’s name sounds sweet, even when you malign her!”
“She is deceitful!” Sarastra sings forcefully, stepping past you to confront Pamina, “A return to her power would bring you only sorrow.” The priestess looks between the two of you. “I can see that there is love between you, but is it true?” Her voice strengthens with resolve as she sings, “Bring them to the Temple of Trials where they may prove their love!”
