Suddenly, Pamina comes rushing from the shadows, leaping over the ruined attendant and calling, “Prince, Prince, I have found you!”
Sarastra’s voice sings out, but it Pamina does not seem to hear it. “You must stay silent until you reach the trial of fire and flame. No tenderness can you show her!”
Pamina looks at you, her doe-eyes shimmering on her flushed face. “My Prince, why do you not speak?” She takes your hand, presses it to her soft bosom. “Do you not feel the longing of love? Why are you silent when you see my tears, flowing, beloved, for you alone?”
You are joined by another attendant, this one whose obsidian pendant rests amidst her ivory cleavage – and as with Sarastra’s voice, Pamina pays her no heed.
“A kiss would end Pamina’s sorrow,” she sings sweetly into your ear, “Then leave this place and find the Queen!”
