As we suspected after Cmdr. Shepard's report on their operation on Mars, Cerberus has begun deploying numerous humanoid synthetic infiltrators on a variety of fronts. Although mass-produced models not as advanced as Dr. Eva Coré, these units are more physically capable than standard organic Cerberus agents and difficult to visually identify as such. Although they do not embark quantum blue-box AI, their social skills are sufficient for the interactions required by their mission, and the possibility of dropping out of character is eliminated in regard to traditional agents. Deployment seems to be taking place both behind and on the frontlines.

Their deployment behind the lines seems to follow usual infiltration patterns, the units mainly serving as moles (infiltrated information gatherers). There has not been any "deep cover" unit discovered thus far, their modus operandi instead seeming to be getting close to military, governmental or infrastructural personnel through short-terms encounter ("one-night hookups"), using their charm before extorting sensitive information through "pillow talk", collecting unsecured intel after sedating their target with embarked chemicals, or in last resort, physical coercion.

The purpose behind their deployment on combat zones seems to be providing additional infantry support and getting captured as POWs, subsequently disrupting our FOBs from the inside. Although we must increase our vigilance on this matter, the standards with which we treat POWs should not be degraded under any circumstances. Due to their recent introduction and the extensive screening councilian troops go through, it is unlikely that synthetic agents have infiltrated our forces.

The only line of model identified thus far is fashioned after former Cerberus operative Miranda Lawson. Ms. Lawson has been fully cooperative in this matter and is under close Alliance supervision. Any encounter with Miranda Lawson is to be handled with extreme prudence and confirmed by high command. Individuals suspected of being synthetic infiltrators must formally identify themselves and/or be given a biological assertion test. Any synthetic humanoid revealed to be posing as an organic being is to be swiftly deactivated by all means necessary.

Although this information is not to be widely shared to prevent widespread paranoia and fear that could lead to mistrust and a drop in morale, we must devise an efficient response and remind all that vigilance is necessary if we are to win this war.
