Baron's review

From 2 years ago, here's a little turkey for ya  :

Here's a quickie for this week. Three "reconditioned" military androids (two male, one female) are imported into a problematic, gang-ridden high school to restore order. Trouble is, all the combat conditioning hasn't been fully removed from them.

Of course, the powers that be don't forsee the problems when you place combat machinery in a potential combat situation. Naturally, the droids' first "gentle" attempt at discipline sparks off the inevitable escalation/retaliation which ends in the ultimate (and quite messy) destruction of said droids, along with several students, the principal, and half the school. Pam Grier, famous for her series of "Blaxploitation" films during the 70's (Shaft, Superfly, etc) does a turn here as the lone fembot, who has a predisposition towards "hotfoots" (Hotfeet?) - her combat equipment is a flamethrower built into one of her arms. Her poor design is evident - the napalm tanks are carried in her chest cavity, and are quite vulnerable, as it turns out.

She took perverse delight in her brief "boob scene," as it (a prosthetic, actually) was surrounded by her hardware. No malfunctions per se; some fair robotic voice work when her true nature is revealed (along with that boob shot). Average destruction scene (yes, I'm jaded). Malcolm McDowell (Clockwork Orange, the new Fantasy Island) is the doomed school principal, and Stacy "Mike Hammer" Keach, as a platinum blond - including eyes! - is the droids' controlling psychopath. Funny thing, I don't remember droids being readily available in '99...... You can find better than this (IMHO)!!

Update note: Pam Grier is, of course, one of those rare gynoids of African heritage.
